2026-2027 Policy FAQ
Which new conditions are being added to CDMP?
Effective 1 January 2027, MOH will include Hyperthyroidism and Hypothyroidism in the CDMP list. This means patients can soon use CHAS and MediSave for thyroid-related consultations and medications at our clinic.
How does the 'No Cash Co-payment' work?
Under Healthier SG, if you are treating a chronic condition at your enrolled clinic (like ours), the usual 15% cash co-payment for MediSave usage is waived. You can utilize your MediSave balance to pay 100% of your bill, subject to your annual withdrawal limits.
Can I use MediSave for my Parents or Children?
Yes. MediSave can be used for immediate family members (spouse, children, parents, and grandparents) who are Singapore Citizens or PRs. Standard limits ($500/$700, increasing in 2027) apply per patient.
Foreign Spouse / Parents Eligibility
MediSave Usage: YES
For PRs contributing to MediSave, you may use your own MediSave for a foreign spouse or parent's chronic treatment (CDMP). Not applicable to non-MediSave-contributing workers.
Govt Subsidies: NO
Foreigners do not qualify for CHAS or Healthier SG subsidies directly.
Transparent Billing Policy
We practice Transparent Billing. Your itemised receipt will display the full private rate, the specific CHAS/HSG subsidy applied, and the MediSave deduction, leaving you with clear information on your final out-of-pocket cost.
