Rapid On-Site Blood Tests

Rapid On-Site Blood Test Services

We understand the need for speed, especially for conditions where you need the answers fast.

We are also firm believers in combining technology with traditional physician techniques.

As such, we brought in rapid blood tests services in order to give you the fastest possible blood test results within 5-15 mins.

Our rapid blood test machine is from a world-renowned laboratory company and we undergo yearly laboratory certification by an international laboratory auditor approved by Ministry of Health to ensure your rapid blood results are of gold standards.

Ischaemic heart disease: Angina and atypical chest pain, acute and chronic Heart Failure

For patients experiencing mild chest pain or shortness of breath, we have rapid blood tests to ascertain if you have ischaemic heart disease or heart failure.

  1. Troponin I is a cardiac enzyme that is leaked into the blood from strained or damaged heart muscles.
  2. Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) is a protein molecule that is released into the blood and if your test exceeds certain levels, it may be indicative of acute heart failure or chronic heart failure.

Together with a full hospital grade 12 lead ECG, we will be able to help you do a complete initial cardiac assessment. After that, our cardiology trained physician will be able to help you plan for further cardiac investigations as required.

Please note that for severely unwell and unstable patients with ongoing chest pain, we will still advise you to contact emergency services for urgent tertiary care.

Blood thinning levels: PT/INR

Some of us are on certain blood thinning medications, e.g. warfarin, to prevent blood clots from forming that might otherwise cause strokes. Such medications will require regular INR testing to monitor. We can do it for you and get results within same visit.

Post hospitalisation care: Electrolytes and Anaemia

There are some conditions that you would require rapid results so that we can do the medications adjustment or salt replacement, such as for high or low blood potassium levels especially for patients on medications for water retention or fluid overload. These patients will benefit from our rapid blood test results. Instead of waiting one to two days for results, they'll get it within minutes.

We can also help to monitor haemoglobin (aka “red blood”) levels for patients who has low haemoglobin levels.

We also offer rapid blood gas testing services to ascertain carbon dioxide retention in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.
